The 2008 Mississippi Scholastic Individual Championship

Open to all MS students or residents only. This tournament is an Unrated and USCF Rated event.
5 round Swiss, G-30. USCF Rated Sections (Championship):   K-3, 4-5 open, 6-8 open, 9-12 open.
Non-Rated Sections (Reserved):   4-5 reserve U700 or unrated, 6-8 reserve U800 or unrated,
                    9-12 reserve (under 900 or unrated).
Sections may be combined as needed.

Anyone with a USCF membership will be placed in the rated section

United States Chess Federation (USCF) membership is required in 4-5, 6-8 & 9-12 championship sections.
USCF Membership is NOT required in K-3 section, and NOT required in reserved sections. USCF membership can be purchase on-site or directly from USCF website at www.uschess.org.

Trophies top 6 places each section. Medals or Trophies for everyone.
Registration: $20 MUST BE FAXED, SNAILED MAILED OR E-MAILED AND RECEIVED BEFORE 1PM FRIDAY APRIL 11TH 2008. ANYONE NOT ABLE TO DO THIS WILL BE CHARGED $40 ON-SITE NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! Only e-mailed registrations will receive a conformation.
Registration and check-in from 8:00 to 9:00.   First round at 9:30am.  Rounds 2, 3, 4, 5 follow ASAP.
