RSS Comes to the Mississippi Chess Website!

Starting August 12, 2007, the www.mcachess.org supports the RSS (Really Simple Syndication) technology.
RSS is a technology that allows you to view a web site as a 'feed',
essentially a series of articles. It's a great way to keep track
of websites that change every few days and you want to know when new
content is available. It's also great for tracking changes to a
large number of websites without having to go to each site.
Wikipedia has a great article that explains RSS in a more complete fashion.
RSS is supported in the latest versions of both Firefox and Internet
Explorer. They have a concept called 'Live Bookmarks' that allows
you to create a bookmark that gets dynamically updated as new articles
get published. There are also various other types of feed readers
out there. My favorite is Google Reader.
Many other large web sites, including the websites of the US Chess Federation and Chessbase also support RSS. When a website supports RSS, you will typically see this icon
on the right side of your address bar.
